Is vinyl a good choice near the river?
It's a sensible one. Vinyl is waterproof and won't swell like laminate, though no floor is fully flood-proof. We'll talk it through at the home visit.
Can you lay vinyl over old Victorian floorboards?
Yes, with the right prep. Older Tonbridge floorboards often have gaps and dips, so we usually board over them with ply first. Otherwise every ridge would show through the vinyl.
